Now it is the time of exploration and the European nations are about to settle down in the "New World." Many explorers were in a rush to claim this new land for their territories and be famous and wealthy. When they reached today's America, they had seen the natives that lived here. Many friendships and rivalries were made during this time period. The rivalries are mostly the ones that had impacted those Native American cultures. These native cultures were extinguished and erased from history due to the Europeans that had settled there. How did they get extinguished? Well, the steel weapons and diseases that the settlers brought killed off those natives, and the ones that survived either died anyway or they were able to re-establish their culture by creating new tribes. One of these killings were made by the Spanish explorer, Hernando de Soto. I will be explaining who this person is in the sub-tab of this section below.
