The Coastal Plains is the largest region out of all 5 regions of Georgia because it takes up three-fifths of the whole state. This region is known for its agriculture and the peanuts that grow here. One of the most unusual vegetables that are grown here are the sweet onions. This is the inner part of the Coastal Plains. The outer part of it, however, does not have the proper soil for vegetation to grow here so it is used as a naval store. We get all of our imports here. The Okefenokee swamp is located here, so you can come by and visit all them alligators and crocs if you want to. If you visit that marshy and swampy part of the plains, then you will b in the exact location of where the early European explorers visited. Along the Coastal Plains are some islands (I will go into depth about it in the physical features) that Europeans considered as "Islands of Gold"
